My philosophy teacher said, I should be more interactive, so I threw a paper ball at him.

He caught it. Paused. sighed.

As though he'd just been handed the meaning of life in a crumpled form.

"Why?" He asked.

I said, "Because action is the manifestation of thought."

He nodded, wrote existential crisis on the board, and told me to explain.

So I told him the ball represented the duality of idea and matter, that knowledge, to be real, must strike someone in the face.

He gave me detention.

I called it empirical proof.
